Publishing Scientific Research (Author Workshop) In-Person

Springer will be hosting an Author Workshop at UCT Libraries entitled: Publishing Scientific Research open to all professors, researchers and PhD students, aimed at (but not limited to) those in the Physics & Astronomy department.

 

Profiles:

Dr Elisabeth Mol is the Editorial Director Physics & Astronomy at Springer, where she is responsible for a global division of publishers handling Springer’s physics and astronomy journal and book publications. She began her career in Publishing 18 years ago, after receiving a PhD in (soft matter) physics, and has handled publishing portfolios varying from mathematics, mathematical physics and materials science.  In recent years she has been very involved in Springer’s society partnership program and has focused on mentoring staff in the various Springer locations worldwide.

Dr Aldo Rampioni is Senior Publishing Editor at Springer, where he is responsible for the theoretical and mathematical physics program. He manages some of the most important journals in the field and several book series. Before joining Springer he was an active researcher and gave contributions in various fields, from mathematical physics to life science.
