Banned Books Exhibition opening invite In-Person
The UCT Libraries will host an event on 21 September, 12:00 in the Library Foyer to launch international banned books week that starts on 23 September, a SA public holiday. The event is intended to enhance the discoverability of UCT Libraries’ collections; and, to bring to light the faceted conversations around collection development, intellectual freedom and the custodial role of Libraries.
We’d be honoured to have you join for the opening – there will also be a short video played at the event with Libraries staff speaking about working with banned books during that time period.
