Eikon/Datastream Database: Book an online session

Eikon is a financial information service, including company data, market data, news, country and economic data, as well as analytics which are displayed in a highly visual way. Eikon is now part of Refinitiv.

To use Datastream or to access Eikon in Excel:

The Excel add ins for Eikon and DataStream are available as part of the Refinitiv Eikon desktop application.

To install the Refinitiv Eikon desktop application, make sure you close down any Office applications, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. and then go to https://eikon.refinitiv.com/ and click on “Sign In & Download”.

Follow the prompts to download the installer. After the installer has been downloaded, run it and let it finish the installation.

Please take note that this will only work on a Windows machine.

Also note that when using the desktop application, you will still need to book a session as we only have three licences.

NB: Sign in using the details you receive in the booking confirmation email.
